EMS variables not gathered - andrea - 07-12-2016
Hi there,
I set up rvx to collect results, which works for all output variable (specified in the rvi file) expect for user-defined EMS output variables (LR_DegreeHours>28).
The EMS variable is included in each folder's eplusout.eso, but not gathered by jeplus apparently.
Also eplusout.csv is not created for any iteration.
Any idea why?

Do you get the output tables SimResults_Hourly, SimResults_Daily and SimResults_RunPeriod? If only the EMS output variables "LR_DegreeHours>28" is missing, check if this is a valid output variable name. See if there are any error messages relating to it in eplusout.err. If the variable is reported, you should be able to find the string in the eplusout.eso file.

thanks for your reply.
The EMS variable "LR_DegreeHours>28" is included is reported in eplusout.eso (with Daily and RunPeriod timesteps), but not gathered by jeplus.
I do get the output tables SimResults_Hourly, SimResults_Daily and SimResults_RunPeriod in the main output folder. No mention of EMS variable in eplusout.err.
Why doesnt that work? I am confused!

You may try rename "LR_DegreeHours>28" to something like "LR_DegreeHoursLargerThan28" and see if it helps...

thanks for your reply. I had tried something similar before (removing blank spaces and the symbol >) and it did not work. Any further ideas?

Hi Andrea,
Sorry for the delay... only got a chance to look at your files. The report variable is collected. But since you have set the daily and annual rvis to false, they are not shown in the summary tables outside the individual case folders. Just change the false to true you will have them as expected.
