Hi,
I am not sure what the problem could be, but could you try start jEPlus+EA from a terminal? If you open an terminal window, move into the jEPlus+EA's folder, and then issue the following command and see if it solves the problem:
java -jar jEPlus+EA.jar
If the program still doesn't start, please post the on-screen error messages here.
